The classic words from the intro to the original Knight Rider, starring David Hasselhoff, which was one of my favorite TV shows growing up. IDW’s Knight Rider series brings the awesome that was the original show into modern times while keeping all that was good about the original intact. When it comes to famous vehicles, K.I.T.T. is one of the most recognized in the world. (I’m grateful that the creative team decided to keep him looking like the original with only a slight modification.) Knight Rider: Knight Strikes collects issues #1-8 of IDW’s Knight Rider series. Honestly, I wish this series was on TV instead of Comics because this is how a reboot is done. It’s good. (Those other Knight Rider shows were just bad.) As a fan of the original show, the writing in this series is on-point. The interactions between Michael & K.I.T.T. are a favorite. The art changes at certain points, obviously due to changes in Artists, but the action is always captured so well. Yes, this review is short, but that’s because I don’t have much else to say except that everyone involved did a great job and that I recommend this book.
