In this edition, we have Cannibals, Possession, Trolls and Storms. Yep, it’s another round of Trailer Park.

The Green Inferno

WHO: Eli Roth, Jane Levy, Ariel Levy

WHAT: A group of student activists travel from New York City to the Amazon to save a dying tribe. Unfortunately, they crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they protected.

WE SAY: It’s been a while since Roth directed a film. With his love for the Italian gut munchers of the ’70s & ’80s, this could be the mainstream equivalent. No doubt hoping for the same success as Hostel.

Into The Stormintothes

WHO: Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jeremy Sumpter

WHAT: A group of high school students document the events and aftermath of a devastating tornado.

WE SAY: Well, it had to happen sooner or later. A found footage disaster flick. For this to work, they’ll have to get the human part right to match the effects.

Box Trollsboxt

WHO: Elle Fanning, Simon Pegg, Toni Collette

WHAT: A young orphaned boy raised by underground, cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator. Based on the children’s novel, Here Be Monsters, by Alan Snow.

WE SAY: Not sure what to think about this one. It could be a surprise hit!

Deliver Us From Evildeliver_us_from_evil_movie_poster_1

WHO: Scott Derrickson, Eric Bana, Olivia Munn

WHAT: NY police officer, Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), investigates a series of crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the possessions that are terrorizing their city.

WE SAY: Based on true life dealings of NYPD officer Ralph Sarchie’s book, this one actually looks frightening. Derrickson has made two very good horror films (Exorcism of Emily Rose & Sinister).
