Geek Start A Go Go: Steamworks and Shadows

In mid 2012, a group of friends decided to make Steampunk costumes and become an Airship crew with a dream of making videos and short films. They became Airship Vindus, and spent several months building a back story and an entire world for their Airship to exist in.
“We have traveled to many steampunk themed events around the midwest, making new friends along the way. We gained experience in filmmaking by doing; and made a video documenting almost every event we attended. Now, we aspire to something bigger than any project we’ve taken on before. We want to introduce our fictional steampunk world to the rest of you and let you enjoy what we so dearly love. But, we can’t achieve such a huge goal by ourselves, which is why you are so much an important part in our production.”

“Steamworks and Shadows is the fictional steampunk world we’ve created, and we want everyone to be a part of. Combining all forms of classic Victorian age literature, we’ve created a steampunk world like no other.
“We take inspiration from the definitive steampunk authors HG Wells and Jules Verne and the authors of Victorian horror Mary Shelley and HP Lovecraft. This unique blend of antique science fiction and the supernatural make for a world that can house any story, and any character.
“Airship Vindus is the cast of main characters for our Series 1 story. We follow the crew as they unravel a conspiracy that could shake the foundations of nations and plunge the world into a global conflict. Can they find and stop the mysterious villains before it is too late?”
