You may have seen the recent Creative Beast Studio’s successful Kickstarter, covered here in October. If you missed the popular campaign, fear not, because a range of Beasts of the Mesozoic Raptors and Ceratopsian Action Figures could be yours right now. In very simple terms, Ceratopsians are the horned dinosaurs like triceratops, and raptors are the agile dinosaurs on their rear legs, just in case you’re thinking of buying one for a friend and don’t know anything about dinosaurs. Maybe one of these models could be a great gift for someone. If anyone I know is reading this, I said maybe one of these models could be a great gift for someone. Each figure aims to be as realistic as possible, using current scientific understanding, and features multiple points of articulation.

See the Creative Beast Studio’s press release below for some of their favorite models. Press release follows:

Creative Beast Studio’s “Beasts of the Mesozoic” Raptor Action Figures Holiday Gift Guide 2021

Creative Beast Studio’s “Beasts of the Mesozoic” brand brings dinosaurs to life with 1/6th scale raptor action figures! Featuring vividly colorized designs inspired by the most scientifically accurate information currently available, these one-of-a-kind collectibles are the perfect gift for dino-lovers and action figure obsessives.

Each deluxe raptor figure is approximately 12″ long x 5″ tall, features 26 points of articulation, and includes feathers sculpted in fine detail. Check out our favorites below, and dig up more in the online store!

Velociraptor mongoliensis ($49.99)

Perhaps the most recognizable name in the dromaeosaur family, Velociraptor mongoliensis was not the man-sized villain of the movies but a “Swift Robber” from the deserts of Mongolia. Featuring beautifully sculpted feathers, stunning color, and of course that terrible toe claw, this figure makes a wonderful centerpiece in any dino-centric collection!

Dromaeosaurus albertensis ($49.99 for Standard or Fan’s Choice Editions)

This “Running Lizard” relied more on its powerful bite (three times stronger than its cousin Velociraptor) than its sharp toe claw to do its dirty work. Our Dromaeosaurus comes with a unique background display insert and each variant comes with its own unique colorization.

Linheraptor exquisitus ($49.99)

This agile desert hunter relied on its sharp sickle claw and amazing speed to capture prey. Named after the district where its fossils were discovered and known from just one nearly-complete skeleton, Linheraptor exquisitus features eye-popping reds, yellows, blues, and blacks — just like tropical birds.

Zhenyuanlong suni ($39.99 for Standard or Fan’s Choice Editions)

Known as “Zhenyuan’s Dragon,” Zhenyuanlong suni stands out from other dromaeosaurs due to its long arms and elongated tail feathers. Looking at Zhenyuanlong, it’s not hard to see that birds evolved from dinosaurs! However, its short arms could not power flight, so no one knows how these ostentatious feathers were used.

Nestlings 3-Pack ($29.99)

Before they grew into ferocious adults, raptors were cute little babies — albeit with pointed teeth and razor-sharp claws. At 3” long x 2” tall, these three snowwhite nestlings scale perfectly with the deluxe adult figures. With eight points of articulation and interchangeable parts, they are cute and  highly customizable!

Eastern 2-Pack ($44.99)

Create your very own prehistoric scene starring Microraptor gui and Mononykus olecranus. This collection features two 6” figures with seven articulation points each, a vibrant background display insert, a collectible trading card, two bases, and multiple posing rods and attachments for endless customization options.

Western 2-Pack ($44.99)

This collection features “Vulture Raider” Buitreraptor gonzalezorum and “Narrow Claw Lizard” Stenonychosaurus inequalis. Each figure is 6” long with seven points of articulation, and comes with a colorful background display insert, a collectible trading card, two bases, multiple posing rods and attachments, and more for customization. In combination with the Eastern 2-Pack, fans can use their imaginations to bring these extinct creatures back to life.

Creative Beast Studio’s “Beasts of the Mesozoic” Ceratopsian Action Figures Holiday Gift Guide 2021

‘Tis the season to take the Triceratops by the horns as Creative Beast Studio brings beloved Ceratopsian dinosaurs – frills, horns, beaks, and all — back to life with 1/18th scale action figures! These “Beasts of the Mesozoic” collectibles feature detailed designs based on the most scientifically accurate information publicly available. Look no further for the perfect gift for dino-maniacs and action figure fans.

Each deluxe ceratopsian figure features approximately 20 points of articulation, and turns heads with vivid colorization that pops off the shelf. Find our favorites below, and discover more in the online store!

Triceratops horridus (adult) ($139.99)

It’s no stretch to say that just about everyone adores Triceratops; one of the most beloved species in all of Dinosauria! This 18” action figure is a must-have for any serious dinosaur fan. Just one look at the famous three-horned head transports your imagination back to the Late Cretaceous, with Triceratopses locked in battle competing for a mate or fending off attacks from the “Tyrant Lizard King” himself, T. rex. Don’t miss your chance to own a legend!

Styracosaurus albertensis ($69.99)

A tribute to one of the most recognizable ceratopsians, Creative Beast Studio’s Styracosaurus albertensis action figure measures a robust 12″ long. An imposing figure on a bookshelf or Mesozoic floodplain, Styracosaurus sports both nose and frill horns, as well as a unique frill colorization reminiscent of a Rorschach test crossed with a Jackson Pollock painting.

Chasmosaurus belli ($49.99)

This 10.25” figure showcases Chasmosaurs belli’s extended frill coupled with a high-contrast paint design of neon green, dark brown, light brown, and white. Discovered in Canada’s Dinosaur Provincial Park, this distinctive ceratopsian was just as likely to attract mates with its discrete frill as it was to repel potential predators.

Zuniceratops christopheri ($29.99 for Standard and Glow-in-the-Dark Editions)

Who needs a night light when you have a three-horned glow-in-the-dark dinosaur to protect you from the Boogie Man! Measuring 8.5” from tip to tail, Zuniceratops lights up green in the dark after exposure to light. This dinosaur turns heads both night and day!

Diabloceratops eatoni ($49.99)

The devil is in the details of this four-horned behemoth. Featuring eye-catching stripes of blue, red, yellow, and orange, Diabloceratops eatoni demands to be seen as it charges into your collection. This “Beast of the Mesozoic” action figure is 10” long with 19 points of articulation.

Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai ($89.99)

Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai is unique even among its amazingly-diverse ceratopsian cousins. This 15” long action figure highlights the dinosaur’s large flat bosses over its nose and eyes, instead of the pointed nose horns many ceratopsians don. It’s one-of-a-kind frill ornamentation put this four-legged giant in a category all its own.

Pentaceratops sternbergii ($99.99)

Sporting five horns on its face (hence its name meaning “Five Horned Face”), the Pentaceratops sternbergii action figure also features the creature’s long frill capped by a series of smaller spikes. If that’s not distinct enough, this 16” “Beasts of the Mesozoic” ceratopsian also sticks out with its lava-like colorization of blazing reds, bright yellows, and deep blacks.
