Viz Media announced yesterday that Weekly Shonen Jump has been added to the Google Play store.  Prior to this, manga fans had to buy purchases through the Viz Manga app on Google Play, but now interested readers can buy their manga directly from Google Play or Google Books for $0.99 USD each.  A one month back issue catalog was also added to the app.

“WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP is the world’s most widely read manga publication for both emerging as well as established hit series and it has helped launch scores of the genre’s greatest series in the world,” says Andy Nakatani, Editor-in-Chief of WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP. “Google Play is one of the web’s most popular destinations for a wide variety of digital entertainment and we invite readers to explore all of the exciting fresh manga content contained in each week’s new issue.”

The current WSJ (not to be confused with the other famous periodical with those initials) line-up includes One PieceMy Hero Academia, One-Punch Man, Boruto, Black Clover, Blue Exorcist, Food Wars!, The Promised Neverland, Red Sprite, Seraph of the End, World Trigger, and Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V.

Weekly Shonen Jump is an international digital periodical that releases every Monday morning at 10 AM PST, and is available in English in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India, The Philippines, and Singapore the same day of the Weekly Shonen Jump print release in Japan.
