Vixen Animated Series Announced for The CW Seed

An animated series based on DC Comics’ Vixen will air on The CW Seed.
Announced by The CW via IGN, Vixen will air online on the network’s website and will take place in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash. The animated series is created by Marc Guggenheim, who serves as executive producer of Arrow. Both Arrow and the Flash are said to have prominent roles in Vixen, according to Guggenheim in this Comic Book Resources interview. While the actors from the aforementioned shows haven’t confirmed their vocal roles in Vixen, Guggenheim says the response is favorable. A live action show of Vixen is also possible, if the online cartoon performs favorably.
In the comics, Vixen is a female superhero who inherits her family’s Tantu Totem pole, allowing her to gain the abilities of various animals. She’s originates from Africa and uses her power to fight the threats that claimed the life of her parents.
