Titan Comics has revealed an exclusive variant of The Blacklist #1 which will launch Nichole Phillips and Beni Lobel’s comic book series at San Diego Comic Con, July 9th-12th 2015.
Colin Lorimer’s variant cover depicts Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington being chauffeured to Comic Con, and his Comic Con badge is on the seat next to him. The image is not only reminiscent of Red as he is in the TV series, it is a good likeness of actor James Spader as well.
The official street date for The Blacklist #1 is July 22nd, which means that San Diego Comic Con attendees get to read it nearly two weeks early. The series is being developed in coordination with Sony Pictures Television’s The Blacklist TV series, and the first story arc in issues one through five explores events from the TV continuity,
