Titan Comics announced today their upcoming adaptation of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone’s Fighting Fantasy to a four issue comic series, Freeway Fighter, this May 2017. The original series of novels were a mixture of Choose Your Own Adventure genre and pen and paper RPGs, with dice required to navigate the narrative of Fighting Fantasy. Set to adapt this to comic books is a creative team comprised of co-creator Ian Livingstone, Andi Ewington (Just Cause 3, The Six), and artist Simon Coleby.
“I’ve always wanted to see Fighting Fantasy books in comic book form,” says Fighting Fantasy co-creator, Ian Livingstone.“ It’s been a pleasure working with Andi Ewington and the artists who have got the Interceptor roaring down the post-apocalyptic road with Bella at the wheel, burning rubber to survive!”
