Skottie Young Variant for Shadowline’s Sinergy #5

If Sinergy is already on your pull list, you may want to either order a double of the fifth issue or mull over which of two covers to get: either series artist Taki Soma’s rendition (Diamond Code JAN150709), or Skottie Young’s humorous interpretation (Diamond Code JAN150710). The variant depicts Jess wielding a trifecta of bloody hockey stick, smoking handgun, and a skull-bedecked black thought balloon.

“Skottie has managed to capture the fun of this series with this wonderful cover,” said series writer Michael Avon Oeming.

In Sinergy, Jess has her first sexual experience, which awakens an ability to glimpse monsters that dwell among us and feed on the by-product of sin, aka sinergy. Only certain redheads–seers–are able to see these monsters, and there are very few left to stop the final invasion.
