Snake Eyes: Agent of Cobra #2

Snake Eyes: Agent of Cobra #2

Hopefully you have read Snake Eyes: Agent of Cobra #1, if not, beware of some insignificant spoiler alerts. #1 left off with Snake Eyes revealing to a former agent, Erika Le Tene, that he is looking for Cobra Commander’s son. This mission is under the direction of Destro, and it is still unclear why Snake Eye’s is working with Cobra.

Erika Le Tene is a former GI Joe agent known as the Chameleon, the code name she took on while working with the Joes. She is also the half-sister of the Baroness.

In Issue #2, the story, by Mike Costa, is progressing very well and the artwork, by Paolo Villanelli, is fantastic. Once again there is a little back story that is told, this time about Erika: it flashes back to four years prior and also when she was a child. Now, with Snake Eyes contacting her, she is uncertain what is going to happen next, but she makes it very clear his presence is compromising her current situation.

Snake Eyes is a member of the Arashikage Ninja Clan and is paid an unwelcomed visit by some of the members. The incident results in Erika being injured and a few of the Arashikage being dead. Snake Eyes is able to get Erika to safety, essentially saving her life. Who could want to bring harm to Snake Eyes that is associated with the Arashikage? That was a rhetorical question. I will give you one guess.
