Dave Gibbons Variant Cover for Dark Knight III Revealed

DC Comics revealed another variant cover for Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1, this time by famed cover artist Dave Gibbons.

Archie #1 currently has the highest variant cover count for 2015 and possibly all time, with 41 covers by my count (including all day one covers, retailer exclusive covers, San Diego Comic Con covers, and the 2nd printing), but tt is apparent that DC Comics, whether by chance or by design, may very well shoot past that with their extensive marketing plans for Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1.

DARK KNIGHT III: THE MASTER RACE is heading to local comics retailers everywhere on 11/25, and in addition to the fantastic array of retailer-specific variant covers available, DC Entertainment is revealing the first of several “standard” variant covers for the series! This 1 in 50 variant cover is rendered by Dave Gibbons of WATCHMEN fame, and features an iconic pose of both Batman and Robin (Carrie Kelly) bounding across the rooftops of Gotham City.
