Con season is in full swing, which means another fun time at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. We look forward to attending this Con every year, watching it grow and evolve like a Pokémon. The space available at the Pennsylvania Convention Center is massive, and Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con used every inch available to them. There was so much to see, from vendors to artists to celebrities.

One of my favorite things to see every year is Artist Alley. So much talent in one place. One artist I always enjoy seeing and talking with is Bianca Roman-Stumpff. She is super talented and always a joy. Bianca showed us some projects she is currently working on and they are awesome. We can never leave Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con without buying Prints from her. Check out her FB page and see if she’s attending a Con near you. If she is, then she is an absolute must visit. Tell her we said “Hi!”

A highlight this year was seeing and talking with our founder, Dr. Travis Langley. He was in attendence for both Panels and in Artist Alley with his best-selling books, which delve into the Psychology of some fan-favorite characters.

It was a pleasure being able to talk with Dr. Langley about so much. He is definitely one of those people you can sit down with and have an in-depth nerd discussion for hours. He even gave us an advanced copy of one of his upcoming books. *cough*Game Of Thrones*cough* Thank you, Dr. Langley, for getting us started! We hope to keep making you proud.

This year, Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con expanded their Gaming section in an epic way. A large amount of space was dedicated to Table Top, Card, and Video Games. Everything from Magic: The Gathering to Hearthstone to Super Smash Bros was available for attendees to enjoy. There were a few tournaments going on while we were there. Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, and Naruto: Ninja Storm 4 to name a few.

A joy to see every year are the fans who participate in Cosplay, a staple of any Con. As usual, the attendees of Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con did not disappoint. Cosplays at Cons are a good indicator of what properties are currently popular or are highly anticipated. Of course, there are always fan-favorites and obscure properties for the die-hards.

As expected, there were many Cosplays of Harley Quinn and Joker from the upcoming Suicide Squad film, but it was great to see Deadshot get some fan love too. I’m looking forward to seeing Suicide Squad.

We try to talk to every Cosplayer photographed, but a couple would move on before we got the chance. So, to the Cosplayers promoting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation Lehigh Valley, contact us. We want to help spread the word.

It may seem like our coverage is focusing heavily on Cosplay this year, but it couldn’t be helped. There were some impressive Cosplayers this year at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con.

There was plenty to see and buy at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, like comics, figures, memorabilia, shirts, and tattoos. Yes, you read that right. Wizard World brought some very talented tattoo artists back this year. They were a big hit last year. If we had the time and money, some of us might have gone home a bit more colorful. Maybe next year. While wandering the show floor, we saw some iconic cars, like the ’66 Batmobile, K.I.T.T., The General Lee, and the Ecto-1 that was actually used in Ghostbusters II. There was a lot of love for these vehicles.

We always emphasize supporting your LCS (Local Comic Shop), but what about Local Comic Publisher? Zenescope is a publisher based out of Horsham, PA, and they are always a delight to talk to at Wizard World. The passion they expressed when talking about their projects to perspective new readers showed us how much they love what they do. Check them out. Tell them we sent you!

Of course, you can never go to a Wizard World without being able to see a favorite Actor/Actress. Marvel had a huge presence with actors & actresses from their film & TV properties, such as Stanley Tucci and Sebastian Stan. Fan-favorites David Duchovny and Sean Patrick Flanery were also in attendance, amongst many more. The number of fans waiting in line for autographs & photo ops definitely walked away with smiles and new cherished memories.

Even though there was so much to see, everyone walks away with different memories that stand out. For us, there were three that were just epic. Epic!

This year’s Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con went so smoothly. The show floor layout was very easy to navigate, with all the sections divided nicely. There was plenty of room to move around, even though there were so many attendees. The staff that I saw interacting with Con goers were very helpful and nice, always a big plus there. Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con is a must-attend for any Con goer. We can’t wait to go next year!

A big THANK YOU to Stogie Guy Photo© (Martin Jackowski) for his awesome pictures! We hope you’ll shoot for us again!
