DC Comics continues to expand their successful digital lineup with a new stand-alone series featuring the Man of Steel. Similar to Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Adventures of Superman is an easily approachable anthology series by a rotating list of top notch writers and artists. IGN states the first and second chapter will be written by Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston, with art by Chris Sprouse and Karl Story. For the third chapter dealing with Lex Luthor’s introduction, Jeff Parker takes over writing duties, while Chris Samnee provides the art. Future creative teams will include:

The digital series will be available on April 29, but a printed edition will soon follow with cover art by Bryan Hitch and variant cover by Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson. With this new digital series, the live action Man of Steel movie by Zack Snyder, the Scott Snyder and Jim Lee collaboration comic, and the Superman: Unbound animated video, 2013 is shaping up as a great year for Superman.
